Kathryn Metcalfe is a poet and novelist who has been published in many anthologies and magazines.
She founded and runs Nights at the Round Table, a poetry and spoken word open mic which has been running over two years.
She was co-founder of Clochoderick Press, a non-profit publishing house which aims to promote literary excellence by those who are under-represented.
Kathryn is a member of the Mill Girl Poets, who wrote and performed a show featuring poetry, spoken word and song about the lives and history of the Paisley thread mill workers. It has been performed at the Glasgow West End Festival and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
She is currently preparing Like Nesting Dolls We Are, her first collection of poetry, explores personal loss, family history, and isolation through wonderful poems about Captain Scott and his crew's expedition to the South Pole.
Kathryn's next event will be the Nights at the Round Table at 7pm on Tuesday, 6th March at Bianco Nero coffee shop, Gauze Street, Paisley.
